Stratford Town Chaplaincy
Our volunteer chaplains serve the community of Stratford-upon-Avon. The team is made up of trained and experienced volunteers from the local churches.
We are available to anyone who wants to talk in confidence; to be a listening ear; to bring a word of comfort or encouragement, and if people wish, to pray with them. It may be just a one-off meeting or we are happy to arrange a follow-up if required, or signpost to other support.
We are here for local residents, people who work in Stratford, and visitors to our town.
We are available to meet during the daytime wherever there is a need; at a place of work, on the street, in a cafe or by the river.
We’re a registered charity, resourced through funding, volunteers and prayer support from a range of churches in Stratford upon Avon. We work in partnership with a wide range of businesses, organisations and other agencies, including Stratford upon Avon Town Council, Stratforward BID and the Police. We are not an advice service line, but we can refer people to specialist sources of support where appropriate. All of our volunteers have previous experience in pastoral ministry or chaplaincy.
